Tom Pizzica

Chef- Food Network's Outrageous Food

Tom Pizzica Originally from West Chester, PA, Tom’s 15 years of working in restaurant kitchens began in high school when he got a job as a dishwasher at a local Italian restaurant. From there, his culinary journey has led him to work in some of the top kitchens in San Francisco including Wolfgang Puck’s famed Postrio and the Campton Place hotel under Chef Daniel Humm (now of 11 Park Madison in Manhattan) In 2006, he and his family took over a 100 year old historic hotel in Chestertown, MD and Tom finally had a kitchen to call his own. After a successful 3 year run at the helm there, Tom followed his now wife Rachel back to San Francisco and quickly found himself as a contestant in The Next Food Network Star season 6 where he earned his “Big Chef” moniker for his bold, “anything goes” style of cooking. He finished in the top 3, which was enough for the Food Network to offer him a brand new show of his own called Outrageous Food. He continues to live in San Francisco and now owns a mobile food/pop up business called Big Chef Tom’s Belly Burgers, serving 100% fresh ground pork belly burgers on toasted buttery buns.
