Lynn Gorfinkle Chief Operating Officer, Roam Artisan Burgers

For the past twelve years, Lynn Gorfinkle, now chief operating officer of Roam Artisan Burgers, has been dedicated to promoting the natural lifestyle industry in a range of capacities – as a chef, instructor, manager, and marketer.

Lynn’s passion for sustainably produced food started with intensive, hands-on work at Vermont’s Merck Forest and Farmland Center, where she developed an acute understanding of organic farming, sustainable forestry and animal husbandry. Armed with practical experience, Lynn applied her skills to a role as chef of the Heartwood Institute in Garberville, CA, which gave her a strong foundation to articulate her knowledge of natural foods in a marketing capacity for Wild Oats Markets and Wild Sage Foods, where her responsibilities included directing branding initiatives, menu development, and operations. Lynn’s passion for producing and promoting quality food led to a management post at Viking Range Corporation’s cooking school division, the largest national cooking school franchise, where she launched eight cooking schools across the country, developed many new curriculum offerings, and cultivated national strategic partnerships.

Lynn, a certified nutrition counselor and avid snowboarder, is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals and was professionally trained at New York’s Natural Gourmet Institute. The San Francisco resident holds a Bachelor’s degree in international relations with a focus in environmental studies from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
