Liz Subauste began working in the restaurant industry at a young age while helping with her mother’s catering company. A Peru native, she enrolled at Lima University for film studies and applied to an exchange student program that brought her to the Bay Area in 2000. While working in various restaurant positions throughout film school, she realized that food was her passion and in 2003 changed career paths. She earned her AA degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality from City College of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s in Recreation, Parks and Tourism from San Francisco State. After graduating from the culinary program, Liz worked at some of San Francisco’s most prominent restaurants such as Cortez, Myth and Delfina. While at Delfina, she found a mentor in Annie Stoll and grew a passion for family owned restaurants and the community that surrounds them. Liz joined Ne Timeas Restaurant Group as General Manager at flour + water in 2009 and most recently as General Manager at central kitchen and events coordinator in 2012. On her time off she enjoys traveling, cooking, eating and spending time with her pet pig, Kona.
