Hubert Keller, a Frenchman from Alsace who was classically trained in the culinary arts from Mentor Chef's Paul Haeberlin and Roger Verge; in his own right is a celebrity household name amongst American foodies, making a splash on many T.V.s across the nation. Chef Keller 's performances as a judge on Top Chef as well as his graceful under-pressure performance as a contestant in the first season of "Top Chef Masters" on Bravo has introduced his charming character to aspiring young chef's around the world. Recently, Chef Keller was also a judge for "Top Chef Just Desserts" on Bravo and appears frequently in the media including appearances on "Regis & Kelly" on NBC, "Rachel Ray", "Extra Extra", the Travel Channel, the Food Channel Network, Fox TV and Chef Keller's own cooking show for PBS, "Secrets of a Chef", produced by Marjorie Poore Productions and sponsored by Cuisinart, is now entering its third season. Chef Keller's cuisine can be enjoyed at one of his world-renowned restaurants; Fleur de Lys San Francisco was re-energized in 1986 when Chef Keller with his wife Chantal partnered with Maurice Rouas and brought the 1st wave of SF foodies to the table. Fleur by Hubert Keller Las Vegas, which is Hubert's whimsical spin on global tapas and the 1st in Vegas to show-case molecular-gastronomy, is a great example of Chef's versatility with both Contemporary French and cutting edge! With his palate attuned to America's evolving tastes, Chef Keller launched his wildly popular Burger Bar restaurants in Las Vegas, St Louis and San Francisco. Chef Keller has garnered numerous awards including the James Beard Foundation's "Best Chef: California" and has been elected to the Foundation's prestigious Who's Who in Food and Wine. Food and Wine magazine recognized him as one of the Ten Best Chefs in America, and Restaurants & Institutions gave him its Ivy Award. Chef Keller has cooked for several United States presidents and was the first guest chef invited to the White House to personally prepare his sophisticated menu for President Clinton and his family. Dubbed a "Rebel with a Cuisinart" in the New York Times for his early championing of original, multi-course, vegetarian menus in a 4-star setting, Chef Keller consistently cooks with a light hand and an eye on health. This led to his developing recipes for inclusion in Dr. Dean Ornish's best selling cookbook, Eat More, Weigh Less. Chef Keller's own cookbooks include The Cuisine of Hubert Keller (Ten Speed Press) and Burger Bar, Build Your Own Ultimate Burgers (Wiley). Chef Keller is working on his next cookbook, with comfort food and for the home cook, the book is co written by Penelope Wisner and will be publish by Andrews McMeel, from Kansas City , with a release for 2012.

Keller is internationally known for his innovation and creativity and has long been considered a "chef's chef." His restaurants are frequent gathering spots for local chefs and for chefs from around the globe. Keller is also known for his generosity and support for a wide range of educational, charitable, and community events around the country including PBS, Make a Wish Foundation, Taste of the Nation, and Share Our Strength.
