A renaissance individual, Duggan McDonnell believes wholly in the Beverage Lifestyle. After conceiving Cantina, the San Fran-centric cocktail lounge dedicated to Latin Spirits and California Cocktails, he started Liquid Think Tank, a beverage consultancy group, then co-founded San Francisco Cocktail Week and the Barbary Coast Conservancy of the American Cocktail. In 2008, he co-founded and is the Chief Executive Officer and Master Blender of Campo de Encanto Pisco, an artisanal Peruvian Brandy.

Duggan was nominated as 'Best Mixologist of the Year' at Tales of the Cocktail 2007 & 2008 in New Orleans, while Cantina also received multiple nominations. He has received Rising Star awards from StarChefs.com and the Cheers! magazine Beverage Conference, accolades such as a 'Leader of the American Cocktail Revolution' by Food & wine magazine, and 'Top Ten Bartenders to Watch in 2006,' plus many mentions in media including TIME, the New York Times, VOGUE, MAXIM, Food Arts, and the Wall Street Journal.

Duggan holds a Bachelor's degree in the Theatre Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from the University of San Francisco. In addition, he has studied wine with the Court of Master Sommeliers, has visited hundreds of wineries, distilleries and breweries on four continents, and is an owner and avid reader of hundreds of books on Cocktails, Food and Wine.
